The third cohort of LIFE Entrepreneurs in Mersin included 45 food entrepreneurs from four different countries.
Judges included Yasmina Lokmanoglu, President of the Mersin City Council; Yesim Kis Akcer, owner of Chef Mezze Restaurant; Ozan Golebatmaz, owner of La Cuisine Restaurant; M. Majd Eddin al-Hassan, owner of Orientry Food; and Ahmad El Khouly, CEO of El Khouly Group.
The four winning pitches came from Hamdo, a Syrian entrepreneur who recycles agricultural waste into natural charcoal; Marya, a Syrian fitness trainer producing healthy nut butter and seasonal jams; Meysa, an entrepreneur producing healthy adaptations of traditional Syrian dishes; and Umut, a Turkish organic farming expert.
